A) You are not only kind, but honest. Ooops, that may have been a spoonerism (dupondtisme as they say here). I mean, not only honest but kind, of course. Even the joke about getting in prison was charitable, since the journalist was possibly trying to provoke some kind of disaster and you did not grudge him, as long as it was against yourself. But you are a bit academic in accepting technical evidence above eywitness evidence. That is the ONLY way you deserve the rude comment of some French clergyman who said your words were not those of a Christian. In St Jerome's time the rudeness against clergymen (even from clergymen) was such a rare thing that angels needed to beat him up for being Ciceronian. Men would not do it. Back then.

B) Fred Leuchter had a problem more than the Nazis, because US death penalty includes desiderata about the condemned having decent clothes and recogniseable hair (and sometimes beard) when he enters the death chamber - and keeping a clean skin when exiting. The gas is not only poisonous when not burning, but it will also burn, though that will scourch the corpses. That is the missing detail from the witnesses. That doesn't mean the fifty or hundred israelis who did the job of emptying gas chambers and said so before israeli courts were liars.

C) About death numbers. The killings were not done on one day, the total number is therefore not a unitary fact observable by a witness, but a conclusion, logical and mathematical, and therefore open to mistakes. The "impossibility of gas chambers" is not the only evidence against a very high death toll. Their possibility is not evidence they were always used from 1940 to 1945.

D) Honouring the memory of the dead: whether forced dying in typhus or getting out from a gas chamber scourched, it is very gruesome. There is one thing you can tell those who need consolation, from the book of Wisdom, the Latin translation of which is used in the Commune Martyrum, and applicable to every one who was just when dying:

ecce quomodo computati sunt in numero filiorum Dei et nos stulti putavimus eos ... et finem eorum sine honore

(I need to revise that text, I used to know it by heart).

Libération de Paris 1944 ... et après?

Selon ce site officieux ou officiel, la libération débute le 17 août. Quelques jours après la Dormition - quelle glorieuse cadeau de la Sainte Vierge et Théotokos à cette belle ville.

Mais, si Paris a pu être libéré et se retrouver libre et ne pas en ruines, c'est peut-être pas sans rapport avec un certain Ernst Jünger. Je me rappelle avoir lu quelque part - pas dans ce wiki - que Hitler avait voulu détruire Paris. Il avait du renoncer grace aux protestes de ce héro de la première guerre mondiale. Et Jünger était ami d'un autre militaire allemand, Rommel. Lui non plus n'était pas un fanatique de déstruction de culture ou massacres des peuples (juifs ou d'autres). Mais, comme tous les militaires, il avait un livret du parti nazi. Et son fils a été maire d'une ville allemande, connu et respecté pour son humanisme.

Pourtant, dans ces jours, il y a un film qui persiflage les nazis tout court. Inglorious Basterds. Il me semble que ces vieux complices ou complices des complices des complices des criminels de guerre sont autant persiflés aujourd'hui que l'étaient les Juifs après les révolutions notemment russe avant les Nazis.

Un Juif repondra peut-être quelque chose comme: mais les Chrétiens n'ont pas distingués entre les Juifs qui votaient pour la mort de Jésus et les autres. Faux. Selon les évangiles ceux qui votaient étaient ceux rassemblés dans le Sanhédrine sous Hanne et Kaïphe. Tout d'abord il n'y a pas de femmes dans un Sanhédrine, et les "femmes de Jérusalem" pleuraient le lendemain. Ensuite un Sanhédrine, bien qu'elle était normalement (et jusqu'à ce moment de trahison contre Dieu et Roi, jusqu'à la révolution contre leur vrai Messie) représentatif du peuple n'est pas tous le peuple. Il y a eu ceux qui absentaient - comme à l'entré de Hitler en Autriche. Il y a eu ceux qui se convertissaient au Christ cinquante jours plus tard, quand les Apôtres, notamment Saint Pierre leur prêchait le Nouveau Testament. Même pour les autres Il s'était montré miséricordieux en consolant les femmes pleurantes "pleurez plutôt pour vous mêmes et vos enfants" qui ont plus tard souffert à la prise de Jérusalem. Les trois évangiles écrits avant cette destruction n'utilisent jamais le vocable Juif dans le mauvais sens. Le quatrième est le seul d'être écrit par le dernier Apôtre survivant et le seul d'être écrit après un Sanhédrine et synode rabbinique qui déjà n'étaient plus dans la ligne droite de l'Ancien Testament: Iabneh, Iamnia. Et le seul évangile aussi d'utiliser Juif comme synonyme de la communauté qui rejette le Messie de son propre peuple et des autres peuples. Parce que cet usage correspondait à l'usage de Iamnia.

D'où donc le droit de culpabiliser tous les Nazis sans distinction? Ou tous qui avaient critiqué les Juifs parfois violemment avant le nazisme, même s'il n'étaient pas Nazis et ne participaient pas à leurs crimes? Ou tous qui commémorent d'autres victimes du nazisme ou du communisme d'avantage que les Juifs? Ou qui commémorent d'une autre façon de la façon juive? L'éclat médiatique se voulant revandicateur de la vérité historique et de l'honneur des Juifs tués mais qui blesse vraiment d'autres, ça me blesse. Notemment dans l'affaire Williamson - après l'affaire Glemp - (précisons que le lien donné n'est pas négationniste mais défend le droit d'avoir d'opinions communément appelées négationnisme). Pourtant ça fait des années que je tâche de renouer avec certaines personnes de ou proche de ce peuple - ils refusent de me parler et semblent me considérer comme un injuste tant que ce n'est pas d'avec Mgr Williamson* que je rompe. Ce que je ne ferais pas pour ce motif là.

Why then is there a canon forbidding priests to dance in public? Because the liturgy participates in the highest dance, that of the angels who fall down before God singing the Trisagion. What you normally call dances, like Squaredance or Waltz, takes it model in somewhat lower angelic spirits, though still great, who lead the stars in the dance that is visible for human eyes. Or maybe they too get up to the throne of God once in a while --- I have not yet read Dionysios Areopagita.

This message on guardian angels by Plinio Correa de Oliveira says:

"There are angels to watch over groups, families of souls, societies and other institutions, so that everything that exists is guarded by angels. This, incidentally, is part of the role of the angels, for they maintain the whole material universe executing all of the decrees of God."

UPDATE:

There is a darker side to the ban on dances in public for priests. In pagan religions like the Greek or the Hindoo, false divinities were regarded as inventors or protectors of dance. When I was young I told nuns who had been treating Elvis "he is the King of music" - no, Jesus is the King of Music, they said. As there was Elvis so there were Apollon, Dionysos and Shiva (to name some) to pose as "King of dance" (Natârâja). And in both Greek and Indian sources we have stories that make these divinities look like masks of the devil: death, intoxication, false but selffulfilling prophecy. That is not "somewhat lower but still high", that is real low. Even if their title is false, the association may make it unfitting for priests - or else the Roman adage "nemo saltat sobrius, nisi forte insanit".

Par conséquent, elle prêche la nécessité de consacrer la Russie au Cœur immaculé de la Sainte Vierge Marie. If US mentalities « snap » under « communist brainwashing » (like Prisoners of War, Corea), « sectarian brainwashing » (used, apparently, by doctrines as different from each other and from Communism as: the Moon sect and Hare Krishna, the near-Christian close to Voltarian twins Scientology and Watchtower Society, and not forgetting « adepts » to « extreme varieties » of Catholicism, Islam, monasticism, domesticity, fasting, praying on beads or prayer ropes, et c.) it may be they are all great « mentality killers » or brainwashers - or it may be that US mentalities have some very weak spots (economic justice, in a country where nobility and clergy are traditionnally looked down on as « wealth without work », but great capitalist speculation abounds; illogical compromise on theocracy and anthropocentrism issues; the hypocritical accusation of Amerindian genocide against the Spanish who committed great massacres, but never against entire peoples, when XIXth C. US then did massacre or totally assimilate entire populations, the liberty cult and American dream along with Malthusianism; the Whig History - to name only some).

In fact, Margaret Singer forgot a few of the new mentalities or « sects » into which US mentalities snap. She forgot her own thoroughgoing antireligious lobby. And she forgot the hippie thing.

Indeed, it seems that some of the people she « deprogrammed » from « sectarian brainwashing » might have resented her intrusion into their lives. She did receive weird visits and something like threats the last years. And that is much more a thing some loner whom she had done bad by would do than a sect - always on the watch for their legal status in societies where they are nowhere near a majority - would be apt to organise. Of course, she was also an « expert » on "Schizophrenia", and she might have victimized people even more so in that capacity.

L'abbé Pierre était pire que je ne croyais ... (citation, lien)

L’Abbé Pierre nie ainsi, pêlemêle, l’historicité des évangiles, qui ne sont pour lui que des écrits tardifs exprimant la foi des communautés chrétiennes, l’historicité des premiers chapitres de la Genèse, la création par Dieu de l’homme et de la femme, l’Immaculée Conception de Notre-Dame et son Assomption, car il faut que Marie soit une femme comme toutes les autres et proche de nous, ou encor la notion catholique de la Rédemption : Jésus-Christ n’est pas mort sur la croix pour nous racheter du péché et satisfaire la justice divine, mais pour délivrer l’homme de lui-même. Sans aller plus loin, l’Abbé Pierre n’a pas la foi catholique et ne peut donc en aucun cas être un modèle pour les chrétiens.

À propos Djihade par persuasion ...

Qui est-ce qui le fait: celles qui veulent porter le niqab ou hijab avec djelbab ou d'autres costumes traditionnels? Ou ceux qui seraient d'accord avec un interdit en France, ce que provoquerait assurément des plaintes au bled, genre "quel horrible pays, on ne peut même pas porter le niqab ici!", qui entre les deux?

Et si on veut interdire le hijab dans l'école, pourquoi n'autorise-t-on pas écoles de filles --- d'ailleurs pour tous le monde qui le veut, pas juste pour les musulmanes?
